TOMORROW: Rally for Life in Sydney
For those able to attend, tomorrow morning (Thursday, 1 August) will see a rally for life in response to the proposed NSW abortion bill.
AFC is pleased to be a co-host of the rally, alongside Right to Life NSW (the event organisers) and other likeminded organisations.
Thursday, 1 August
9.30am – 11.00am
Parliament House, Macquarie St, Sydney
It’s short notice, we know, but given the speed with which this terrible bill could be debated, your presence will help send an important message to MPs.
End of life inquiry
The South Australian Parliament is currently conducting an inquiry into “end of life choices”.
It will explore issues surrounding terminal illness and palliative care, but will also, disturbingly, cover the new Victorian euthanasia regime, as well as the recent WA inquiry into the same topic.
Again, we apologise for the short notice, but submissions close this Friday, 2 August.
Regardless of your state or territory, we encourage you to send the inquiry some brief thoughts on why you think euthanasia and assisted suicide are bad ideas.
More information is available here, including the terms of reference: http://www.parliament.sa.gov.au/Committees/Pages/Committees.aspx?CTId=2&CId=366
Submissions should be emailed to: email@example.com
