"An agreement is possible without further wait" says Bishop Fellay, because he knows that the SSPX-Resistance is not a strong opponent? This Resistance should have been shadowing Fellay and commenting on his every utterance concerning the deal, but it did not do that. Why?

SSPX-Vatican: "Two dates are mentioned in Rome: May 13 or July 7"

French conservative daily Le Figaro's religious correspondent Jean-Marie Guénois mentions in an article today the current status of negotiations between the Society of Saint Pius X and the Holy See (both of which we have covered: SSPX's Superior-General Fellay's interview and Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei's Secretary Pozzo's comments).

In the end, through, he adds the following new information:

Is a signing [of an agreement] close? "It is not a question of calendar," but of "full development of the dossier," the main players insist. Nevertheless, two symbolic dates are mentioned in Rome: July 7, 2017, tenth anniversary of Benedict XVI's motu proprio that reestablished the Mass according to the 1962 Missal, called the Latin Mass, as well as Extraordinary rite [sic] in the Catholic Church. Or May 13, 2017, centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. Pope Francis will be, on the latter day, on a pilgrimage [to Fatima].
Sspx.org is preparing for the "miracle" of the neo-sspx being absorbed into the conciliar structure as they did in their branding towards the end of their other phony Rosary Crusades acquiring the deadly compromises (extraordinary mass, lifting of excommunications); and using the Blessed Mother as the proxy to their agenda. (sic)

Their medias are putting more of the 'rosary' fever and 'miracle' emphasises that 'we must believe'.

As Bishop Fellay started this drum beat, stating as much in his above January 29, 2017 interview, amplified on sspx.org, seems they are setting up for the near "May option" in playing the providence card; or you are against heaven. (sic)

The SSPX will pay dearly for misleading people into thinking this 'reconciliation' was an act of benignity on behalf of Our Lady - misusing Her for their own foul ends.

Adding to the fraud is the neo-sspx "Pilgrim statue" they created. The "Pilgrim statue" is apart of the branding fever and a pillage for "Donations and mass stipends" strongly encourage by the U.S district house promoting the "traveling statue" as a marketing link to help their [announced] financial crisis; which the prior district superior (mostly) and present (cleverly) had been writing about often for immediate donations and direct funds. At the same time other neo-sspx chapels were publicly dispelled with financial woes and dept. I covered this with links elsewhere on the other forums; now happily banned.

This traveling statue business is just that. The neo-SSPX has turned it into a business by creating knock-offs to take advantage of Catholic faithful.
There was in fact a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, made according to the description given by Sr. Lucia which was kept at the Cova da Iria on display. In 1946 there was a congress in Portugal attended by a youth group that asked to carry the statue on pilgrimage to the cathedral in Lisbon. As they walked the route in procession with the statue they passed through the towns and people gathered to pray. At the cathedral in Lisbon a miracle of the doves occurred.
After the congress the group returned the statue to its original place at the Cova da Iria but many people from other towns requested for the statue to visit their communities as it had done on the pilgrimage to Lisbon.
The Bishop of Fatima asked Sr. Lucia about this. She suggested that a second statue be made to be used as a pilgrim statue. The bishop agreed. In 1947 it was blessed and named the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. So many requests were made that another Pilgrim statue was made for the west, and it too was blessed by the Bishop of Fatima. Each statue had a full time custodian priest assigned to it along with a mandate that the custodian priest teach the Fatima message. If you remember Fr. Gruner had a beautiful Fatima statue and it traveled with him for the purpose of spreading the Fatima message. He did not send it on its own to collect money for him.
In fact he was the official custodian of the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Canada blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967.
It's odd the way the sspx sends out the statue, for it goes to many chapels that already have a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. What's so special to venerate one statue on one side of the room with another Fatima statue on the other side of the room? Is it special just because it was sent on journey by Fr. Wegner with the "blessing" of Fr. Rostand?
There is no connection to the official Pilgrim Virgin statue other than using the same name.

You can see for yourself the rental instructions for the traveling statue in the video listed in the above post which is titled:

Here is an update coming from two interviews in Rome.

Among other things, you will notice there is a common term used centered on a "Doctrinal Statement" the SSPX was given and had to agree to. We knew of this for a few weeks now; but the Pope revealed in his interview, subtly, that the exchange happened and is in the hands of the Feria Quarta of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith presently studying it to then pass to the pope for authorization.

No doubt Bishop Fellay is passionate about his reconciliation, Archbishop Pozzo mentions this too "...for them [sspx] it is a priority in relation to other concerns."

  • (May 11, 2017) The first interview is with Archbishop Guido Pozzo, Secretary of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, who is in charge of the dialogue with the Society of Saint Pius X, says it is up to them to take the next step. The ball is in their camp:
"Reconciliation will take place when Bishop Fellay formally adheres to the doctrinal statement presented to him by the Holy See, and it is also the necessary condition for institutional regularization, I have noted that the spirit is constructive, not controversial, and that the different points of view or opinions we have on certain questions do not necessarily lead to division but to enrichment I have understood that it is a priority for them to overcome this divide with the Holy See, and for them it is a priority in relation to other concerns."

  • (May 13, 1017) The second interview is with Pope Francis speaking on relations with the SSPX on his airplane interview during the flight back from Portugal to Rome:
"I would toss out any form of triumphalism. None. Some days ago, the Feria Quarta of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, their meeting - the call it the Feria Quarta, because it’s the fourth Wednesday - studied a document and the document still hasn’t reached me, the study of the document. This is the first. Secondly, the current relations are fraternal. Last year, I gave a license for confession to all of them, also a form of jurisdiction for marriages, but even before the problems, the cases they had, for example, had to be resolved by the Doctrine of the Faith. The Doctrine of the Faith carries them forward. For example, abuses. The cases of abuse, they brought them to us, also to the Penitentiary. Also the reduction to the lay state of a priest, they bring to us. The relations are fraternal. With Msgr. Fellay I have a good rapport. I’ve spoken many times… I don’t like to hurry things. Walk. Walk. Walk. And then we’ll see. For me, it’s not an issue of winners and losers, it’s an issue of brothers who must walk together, looking for a [ed. ecumenical] formula to make steps forward."
