Should it be the jubilee of Mercy?

Should it be the jubilee of Mercy?

In response to the circular of 7 pages of the General House* of the SSPX, inviting priests to participate in "Mercy Jubilee", here is an excellent article of Dominicans of Avrillé. It seems extraordinary that we should participate in the Jubilee of mercy:

1a. When the floodgates of grace are wide open, we must receive it in abundance. A Holy Year is a great grace for all members of the Church.
2a. The Council of Trent "teaches and directs that the use of indulgences, very beneficial for the Christian people and approved by the authority of the holy Council be preserved" (DS 1835); the Code of Canon Law says: "All will set great indulgences" (can 911.). It would be paradoxical, because we do not want anything to do with this failure was that council Vatican II, we manage to ignore a truth proclaimed at the Council of Trent and encouraged by the whole tradition of the Church.
3a. According to St. Alphonsus Liguori: "To become a saint, you only have to earn the most possible indulgences" (quoted in the Manual of Indulgences thésaurisons for Heaven DFT ed, 2005, p. 6...).
4a. No risk his salvation by participating in the Jubilee of mercy, without calling into question the power of the keys which Francis is the legitimate holder.
5a. "Even if the delivery of the sentence would be made ??unreasonably, the person concerned does not earn less indulgence in its entirety" (St. Thomas Aquinas, Suppl., Q. 25, a. 2, ad 1).
6a. For a circumstance affects and distorts the jubilee, it would have to become the object or specific purpose. But the indulgence of obtaining conditions as they were set out are traditional: visit a jubilee church, confession, communion, reciting the Creed and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff (as Pater or prayer jubilee ).
7a. The joy of the Jubilee is not to rejoice at the Second Vatican Council, but of grace spread by the head of the Church that draws from the treasury of the infinite merits of Christ and all the saints. The widespread profusion through will always be a source of joy for those who are willing to receive it.
8a. Archbishop Lefebvre and Ecône seminary went to great pilgrimage organized in Rome during the Holy Year 1975. Similarly, the Society of St. Pius X in 2000. Yet in 1975 the Vatican had reported that the Holy Year "coincided with the tenth anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council", and the bubble proclaiming the Holy Year in 2000 showed that during the start of the new millennium, "it was return with a strengthened loyalty to the teaching of Vatican II. "

Sed contra:

This jubilee is organized by the conciliar Church; gold Archbishop Lefebvre wrote in his "testament" spiritual [Spiritual Journey after St. Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologica, 1990]:
"It is a strict duty of every Catholic priest wishing to remain to part of this conciliar Church, as she did not find the tradition of the Church's Magisterium and the Catholic faith. [...] I hear: "You exaggerate! there are increasingly good bishops who pray, who have faith, who are edifying ... "Would they be saints, since they admit the false religious freedom, so the secular state, the false ecumenism, Therefore the admission of several ways of salvation, the liturgical reform, so the practical negation of the sacrifice of the Mass, the new catechisms with all their errors and heresies, they officially contribute to the revolution in the Church and to its destruction. "

Reply :
The morality of a human act is measured not only by its object but also by circumstances (I-II, q. 18, a. 3). For example, wear a pickaxe handle on his way to his field has a different morality than wear the same pickaxe handle on his way to a demonstration.
The Jubilee Year of mercy is not affected by the following circumstances: the date of the jubilee was chosen to celebrate 50 years of the Council, and "mercy" advocated by Pope Francis is lax mercy that grows to sin.
Participation in the Jubilee can not ignore these circumstances and therefore this participation is immoral.

Objections Solution:
1. Ad Saint Herménégilde refused to receive communion from the hands of an Arian bishop on Easter Sunday, and for this reason has been put to death. Yet nothing is more sanctifying than Holy Communion and Easter communion is compulsory under pain of mortal sin. But here, a circumstance made ??the sinful act: receive the host of the hand of a heretical bishop was a "communion in sacris" with a heretic.
Ad 2. The objecting is wrong to describe only Vatican II "council missed." It has, instead, been very successful for the modernists, who have been on this occasion, found their "Conciliar Church". Participate in this jubilee would be a compromise with this pseudo-Church because of the circumstances mentioned. As for indulgences, can benefit other than participating in the jubilee: there are many ways to earn a plenary indulgence every day, for example, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for half an hour, reading the holy Writing during the same time, the public recitation of the Rosary, the Stations of the Cross [1].
Ad 3. The objecting does not give the reference in the works of the saint, but in a second hand book, which itself gives no reference. The oldest traces we found this quote is a book decrying indulgences: Paul Fine, Arsenal devotion. Notes for use in the history of superstitions, 4th ed, Paris, Georges Decaux, 1876, p. 90. We will allow us to ask a specific source to verify the authenticity of this sentence and its context. Anyway, to become a saint, he first takes faith to a heroic degree, and thus avoid any ambiguity in this regard.
Ad 4. We do not question the authority of the Pope, but we see that the evil uses. It is for the same reason we refuse the new Mass, the new code of canon law, etc.
Ad 5. The objecting failed without report, part of the quotation from St Thomas: "If, however remission is made ??unreasonably, so that almost nothing for men would be diverted works by e pénitenc he [the one who gives an indulgence] sin by doing so; However, the person nevertheless wins indulgence in its entirety. "By which we see as unreasonable aspects considered by St. Thomas is a simple disproportion between the requested and indulgence granted work. Here, the gain is related to indulgence joy of Vatican II and a false concept of "mercy" of Pope Francis, from which not only unreasonable aspect but immoral.
Ad 6. The objecting plays on the word "denatures". It is true that the jubilee remains a jubilee, the circumstances making the wrong do not change its nature Jubilee. But they come within the object considered morally because they affect its morality. Communion offered to St. Herménégilde remained an Easter Communion, but circumstances made ??her sinful.
Ad 7. Although the one who participates in the Jubilee has no intention (subjective) to celebrate Vatican II, he took part in a jubilee that was objectively wanted to rejoice in this Council. Unless pour into subjectivism, we must abstain.
Ad 8. The jubilees of 1975 and 2000 were ordinary jubilees, as there regularly every 25 years to celebrate the birthdays of incarnation. They therefore were not linked itself to the birthday of the Council, or to a misconception of mercy. The allusions to the Council reported by the objecting remained high and did not affect the morality of the act of participation for those who simply wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the Incarnation.

In 1975 the Archbishop of participation in the pilgrimage organized by the Association Credo took place at the time the Prelate manifested his opposition to the conciliar Rome [2]: so there was no ambiguity in this gesture. If one may wonder was prudent to make another pilgrimage to Rome in 2000. For it was on this occasion that contacts have been taken with a view to an agreement with modernist Rome, which led to the fall of Campos next year. St. Pius X pulled herself together, but the negotiations for an agreement have continued, and in 2012 the agreement almost got. Consecutive communicated to the Roman meeting of 23 September 2014, that of Menzingen ("cordial meeting") and the Vatican ("proceed by stages" ... "towards overcoming difficulties" ... "in the perspective of full reconciliation ") were the starting point of a number of stages or levels, and participation in the jubilee would clearly part.

[2] Remember the context: November 11, 1974 held the visit of the seminar by two Écône sent from Rome that causes the famous Archbishop Lefebvre's statement of 21 November, January 25, 1975 Archbishop Lefebvre was invited to appear before the three cardinals (Tabera, Wright and Garrone), May 6 Bishop Mamie withdraws approval given by his predecessor, the same day the three cardinal supported this decision with the agreement of Paul VI, on 24 and 25 May there is a pilgrimage, the June 5 Archbishop Lefebvre lodges appeal to the Court of the Apostolic Signature, etc.

Where did you get the Dominicans' response from?
I do.

I have looked for the link using four different browsers (Vivaldi, Chrome, Safari and Firefox) and do not see it.
