Newspeak: Abortion prevents adverse consequences for child

"We know that has adverse implications for child and maternal health
if an unwanted pregnancy is continued through to term."

If Labour is chosen to rule our country in upcoming election they will do everything in their power to provide every woman with free access to abortion to prevent the adverse consequences to the child! AND of course to prevent adverse consequences to the mother don't forget!

RU486: The drug regional doctors can't — and sometimes won't — prescribe

A drastic shortage of regional doctors trained to prescribe an early abortion drug is forcing pregnant women to travel up to four or five hours for terminations.
Figures from national family planning organisation Marie Stopes Australia show almost five per cent of general practitioners across the country are registered prescribers of RU486.
But in regional New South Wales, that number drops to 0.2 per cent.
"Doctors training in obstetrics and gynaecology have reported that in some regional centres women will describe continuing a pregnancy that they didn't want to continue simply because they didn't have access to termination services," said University of Sydney Associate Professor Dr Kirsten Black.
"They couldn't afford to travel to an urban centre to get an abortion so they ended up continuing unwanted pregnancies.
Opposition spokeswoman for Women Tanya Plibersek has committed to decriminalising abortion and pushing for surgical terminations to be free in public hospitals.

"There are still people in the Labor Party who have very strong religious views about abortion and I respect those views," Ms Plibersek said.

"But if we are to go into Government, we have to govern for the majority, and 80 per cent of Australians support a woman's right to choose."

The Federal Government did not respond to a series of questions about the issue, but said access to terminations was the responsibility of state and territory governments.

Comment:
The wholesale slaughter of unborn children, and the soul-destroying effect on their mothers, depends on the fallacious idea that only people with 'religious views' are preventing the availability of free abortions. Ms. Plibersek implies that it is a minority of those who hold 'religious views' who hold up the well-being of aborted babies and their mothers. No evidence is provided that people without religious views agree that unborn Australians should be killed to prevent adverse consequences for them and their mothers.

Well here is a quote from a man called Isaiah speaking to those with the ears to hear - religious or not religious.
20Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter
for sweet, and sweet for bitter. 21Woe to you that are wise in your own eyes, and prudent in your own conceits.
(Isaiah 5 : 20-21)
