I thought that it would be fun to have a thread to learn about the things of God, God himself, and His Holy Church, Acts of redemption, His Blessed Mother, and much more…through a Question and Answer interaction.

For organization and to know which answers are applied to which question, I thought that if we followed a few guidelines, we all can be on the same page.

Guidelines:

This new thread is also to know, love, and serve God more as Catholics striving in the virtues of humility and charity. All questions must be related to the Traditional Catholic Faith, Holy Scripture, Tradition, Saints, Catechism, or Church History.[*]Those who are posing a question:
  • Please be as clear as possible to the nature of your question.
  • Please give 1-calander day to allow as many who would like to answer the
time to research and post; then provide the answer, if no one has, as
clear as possible and referenced to support your answer.
  • There can be many questions posted at the same time from many posters
throughout each day for its organic interaction and edification. However, please post each unrelated question separately on separate posts.
  • Members who do not know the answer are invited to post a question.
  • If the questioner knows the answer please click the like button on the correct answer/s given.
  • The questioner, and others, can also add to the answer after it is posted to enlighten it more with the research they also have found.
Those who are answering a certain question:
  • Please first click the “quote” button so as to give the understanding that it relates to answering that particular question.
  • Please be as clear as possible in your answer and support your answer with a reference;
any research and study to support your answer would also be enriching.
For the honor of Jesus and Mary.

Here are a few questions to start with and show a simple format.

Q. Does God have a Mother?
A. Yes. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was born of a woman called Mary.

St. Mathew 1:18 – “Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost. “

A. Yes.

Leviticus 5:7
But if he be not able to offer a beast, let him offer two turtles, or two young pigeons to the Lord, one for sin, and the other for a holocaust.

St. Luke 2 - [21] And after eight days were accomplished, that the child should be circumcised, his name was called JESUS, which was called by the angel, before he was conceived in the womb. [22] And after the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they carried him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord: [23] As it is written in the law of the Lord: Every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord: [24] And to offer a sacrifice, according as it is written in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons: [25] And behold there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Ghost was in him.
