Draft of Declaration

I am delighted to announce that the resistance movement is about to set up a second Australian website where the Declaration will receive the full authority of the resistance priests. It is a wonderful development. I will gladly sign such a Declaration and those who have offered their signatures here will no doubt prefer that option also. Thank you for your support and prayers that have brought forth such a result. This thread has served its purpose.. Many, many thanks to Member Marianne for initiating this precious gift to Our dear Mother Mary whose name she bears. Kathleen Donelly

Member Marianne added this as a possible introduction:

By the grace of Our Lord mayyou rise up and seek to protect the Church by calling it
to do what is most important - save souls.
It is time to fight for eternal life against those who have brought the culture of death to
our world.
Only by exposure and the exercise of courage can we defeat the devil and his
companions". (Sermon by Fr. R. Voigt, 9/1/13)
Each of us are guardians of the Faith that Christ has revealed to us.
You are encouraged to enter the fight bravely for the restoration of all things in Christ.
May you all respond with the courage of the little Maid of Orleans, St Joan of Arc.

To give us some encouragement here is the list of names of the laity following Fr. Altamira's Declaration.

Agrees with All the points raised herein,

But doubts that the Bishop and his gang will change in response to pleas from the faithful .

It is like a big ship, once the passengers perceive that there is a change in the ship's direction, they are usually unaware that the captain gave the order to turn, to the engine room a considerable time prior.

This petition would be useful as an awareness raising exercise for many, but I doubt it would have any real impact on the direction of the society.

We know of his tendency to speak out of both sides of his mouth, and to play to his particular audience .

With sadness I have conclude that the sspx , as it used to be , is dead; and until it is properly buried, has become a stinking corpse.

It has been pointed out that the introduction is ungrammatical, so the following will be substituted:

We, the undersigned Australian and Asian faithful, presently attached to the Priestly Society of St Pius X (FSSPX), have signed this open letter of Appeal for the following purposes:

Instead of "Attached to the SSPX" we should say "Attached to Catholic Tradition". The reason for this is that some people who would want to sign this have already publically disassociated themselves from SSPX attendance.

February 2014

Your Excellency,

AUSTRALASIA OPEN DECLARATION AND APPEAL

We, the undersigned Australian and Asian faithful, attached to Catholic Tradition, have signed this open letter of Appeal for the following purposes:

1) To call into question the actual or perceived change of direction of the FSSPX under your leadership;
2) To expose:
a) Any actual and/or perceived falsehoods or ambiguities circulating within the FSSPX and thus responsible for deceiving many of the faithful;
b) The increasing (actual or perceived) Liberalism within the FSSPX, which appear to be influenced by Masonic principles;
3) To insist, that the Dogmas and Doctrines of the Holy Catholic Church are in no way secret
or clandestine that ipso facto, such truths must not be diminished or silenced by the leaders of
the FSSPX.

It appears evident to us, that over past 5 years or so, the FSSPX has altered its position, insofar as its integrity, strength and unity have been covertly and systematically eroded from within and that its once uncompromising mission to warn the faithful of the dangerous errors of our times has slowly been dissipated. Indeed, the Society has also been ruthless in methodically deposing from its ranks any priest who has aligned himself with the late Archbishop Lefebvre’s mission to “Restore All Things in Christ.” It would seem that the house is being prepared to receive new owners, and everything needs to be arranged in accordance with this new taste.

The current evidence from the FSSPX indicates a continuing intention to facilitate an agreement with Modernist Rome. The Doctrinal Preamble of April 15th, 2012, officially signed and submitted to Rome by you My Lord Bishop, is testimony to a willingness to surrender the Fight for the Faith through explicit expressions of ambiguity. Such ambiguity (similar to the practice of Freemasonry and other enemy infiltrators) justifies our resistance to any weakening of doctrine, which will inevitably lead to the loss of souls and the implosion of FSSPX as previously known!
Given that you have conceded, that “Rome need not convert in order for the Society to accept a canonical structure”; (albeit with the supposed “right to critique” Vatican II and the Novus Ordo) it would simply be suicidal for the FSSPX and the faithful who presently support the Society by their prayers, sacrifices and time, notwithstanding the many millions of Dollars, Euros, Sterling and other currencies and assets poured into the FSSPX by the laity over the past forty years or so!

Whilst the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions the notion that by coming to an accommodation with Rome you will be “converting the Conciliar church from within” is plainly delusional and naive, since the FSSPX will end up being only “one more voice amongst others” in the plurality of the “New Church”.

Prior to 2007, the FSSPX was faithful to the consistent stance of Archbishop Lefebvre who rightly recognised the impossibility of making any agreement with Rome whilst the official hierarchy remain attached to Modernism and Vatican II.

Currently the perceived position of the Society seems to be that, even now, it is still covertly preparing its priests and faithful for Canonical recognition under an eventual agreement with “Modernist” Rome.

If further confirmation were needed, it is evident from the lack of warnings from the FSSPX pulpits against the modern errors of Vatican II, and ipso facto the principal perpetrators of those errors, including inter alia the current and recent Popes. What are the errors of Vatican II which were always previously and frequently denounced by the FSSPX? - Liberalism, Modernism, Religious Liberty, Ecumenism, Secularism, Naturalism, Ambiguity, Rationalism and Personalism!

Further, the FSSPX has since noticeably weakened its stance against the New Mass, Vatican II, Religious Liberty, the problems of the Conciliar Church, doctrinal issues, the Indult Mass, the scandalous activities of the Conciliar Popes, the prudence of making a deal with Modernist Rome, its teaching on Catholic Modesty, and on the Jews, etc.

You are well aware that we have a double duty towards the Faith: namely to profess it, and to defend it. Defence is always characterised by the condemnation of errors which is precisely what the leaders and priests of the SSPX are not doing, as in the past. Why? The main issue in our combat is about FAITH.

Our resistance means non-acceptance of error, as well as the denunciation of, and opposition to, all and any teachings of the Conciliar Popes contrary to the perennial Magisterium and Traditions of the Church.

Sadly most of the laity and significant numbers of FSSPX clergy accept without thought or question, the statements of the FSSPX executive. Having repeatedly heard that nothing has changed and things are improving, their viewpoint gradually alters. These new (false) FSSPX opinions then become principles fixed in the minds of one and all alike, who begin to believe and then accept that, “the Counciliar errors are not as bad as the FSSPX once painted them, and that the “Modernist Hierarchy” is now open to Tradition. In consequence the faithful predictably lower their guard and are negatively influenced in favour of the Concilliar Church and its errors and are thus more receptive to making a deal with Rome!

New Rome’s plan is clear; convert all traditionalists to the “New Religion” by first promising them “the world” then eventually breaking their word by demanding ongoing assimilation into Vatican II and the Novus Ordo.

The foregoing is clearly proved by reference to the nine “traditionalist’ organisations who have thus far already compromised with Rome by entering into agreements similar to the one proposed with the FSSPX. Are the FSSPX to be added as the latest acquisition to “New Rome’s” traditionalist trophy room?

Rome has NOT, and is NOT turning away from Modernism, quite the contrary. Accordingly, we must therefore absolutely refuse to adopt a ‘compromise mentality’ or ever abandon our fight for, or otherwise fail to teach the truth to our children and the world at large.

Meanwhile, in a bid to improve the FSSPX’s popularity and public image, a hugely expensive and initially secretive re-branding exercise was begun using the services of a secular Public Relations firm without any prior reference to, or the approbation of the faithful, whose hard earned cash undoubtedly funded the costs of same. No doubt the PR Company’s fees are many hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Euros!

The PR initiative explains the subsequent changes in the content and tone of the Society’s publications i.e. the Angelus Press, Regina Caeli Report, as well as those on the DICI and sspx.org websites respectively! It seems that Secularism has overtaken the FSSPX!

We detect that the spirit of the FSSPX is now tepid and that the once great zeal for combat for the Faith no longer pervades the air of Tradition! We are left wondering why the Society should worry about what the modern anti-Christian world thinks, particularly as the truth of the Catholic faith has no need for the world’s seal of approval.

Man cannot serve two masters! One is either a friend with the secular world and thus an enemy of Christ, or opposed to the secular world choosing Christ as The King.

Anything other than service to Christ is a betrayal of the mission of Archbishop Lefebvre, and a betrayal of Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. We cite the following timeline of events to highlight the changes within the SSPX over the last 20 years:

1994
The Group of Reflection Among Catholics (GREC) was established – the official goal being to facilitate reconciliation between the FSSPX and conciliar Rome. GREC advised the Society to ask the Roman authorities to grant two signs of good will to help to achieve a future reconciliation: 1) “Freedom” of the Old Mass, 2) Lifting of the “excommunications”. GREC also suggested that the SSPX stops criticizing harshly the Roman authorities and to stop rejecting Vatican II as a whole. (The SSPX had been working behind the scenes –secretly- to unite the SSPX with modernist Rome for 20 years)
2000
SSPX Rome pilgrimage
2006
SSPX General Chapter: Doctrine first; Rome needs to convert
2007
The Motu Proprio happened, setting the Traditional Mass as 2nd place after the N.O.M. as the “Extraordinary” form
2008
Fr. Jurgen Wegner becomes District Superior of Canada
2008
Fr. Rostand becomes District Superior or the U.S
2009
Bishop Fellay removes Bishop Williamson from active apostolate, sending him into an attic in London, England
2009
The “lifting” of the (illegal) excommunications (without mentioning Archbishop Lefebvre or Bishop de Castro Mayer)
2011
SSPX has exchanges with conciliar Rome for a “practical agreement”
2012
SSPX has secret workings with conciliar Rome
2012
Exchange of letters between the three SSPX Bishops and Bishop Fellay (with Assistants)
2012
Bishop Fellay presents his Doctrinal Declaration to Rome (kept secret for over a year)
2012
SSPX General Chapter with the (scandalous) Six Conditions to a Practical Agreement
2012
Major exposure of SSPX’s leaders betrayal
2012
Expulsions of Bishop Williamson and many priests, who do not agree with the “new position” of the new-SSPX
2012
Fr. Rostand announces in his “Christmas appeal” that they have started updating with a new image
2013
www.sspx.org changes their website to a new “image” for the world
2013
Expulsion of and leaving of many more SSPX priests and Religious Communities

Meanwhile, although no practical agreement has yet been signed with modernist Rome, it does not mean that the danger is over! Despite appearances, the Superiors of the FSSPX have not recanted their new concept of Tradition within the “Church” and no responsibility has been taken for the current crisis within the FSSPX caused by such imprudent and wholly avoidable actions.

Further, whilst it may be true that various doctrinal aspects remain on your agenda, it now seems that these are secondary and that you, and your immediate collaborators, regard canonical recognition as the essential priority and objective of the Society by which everything must now be “redefined” according to this new priority.

In the Declaration of April 15th, 2012, you accepted the New Code of Canon Law, as the basis for an agreement with Rome. You have also stated that the new sacraments and the New Mass are valid and were legitimately promulgated. Further, you also recognise the Magisterium of the New Church. Further, you were, and presumably still are, ready to sign the 1989 Profession of Faith originally drafted by Cardinal Ratzinger. Even if such a deal has not yet been signed, its principles have already been adopted by the July 2012 General Chapter and this is what has caused such upheaval within the FSSPX.

That Liberalism has entered the Society is clearly demonstrable from the many public statements that you and other senior representatives of the SSPX have made. Your willingness, and indeed eagerness to enter into a practical agreement with a still conciliar and modernist Rome, is the most telling and alarming proof of all.

That elements of Liberalism have crept into our local communities can be seen (inter alia) in the softening on Catholic modesty (women defiantly wearing pants and immodest dress); the promotion of non-Catholic literature in school (e.g. CS Lewis); accepting Masonic principles in the “philosophy” of their schools (as in STAC at Tynong, VIC); the hiring of non-Traditional and even non-Catholic teachers; affirming that Vatican II “is not that bad”; no mention of the “soft” i.e. non commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Consecrations of 1988; use of Ecclesia Dei Requiem Mass Latin-English Booklet Missals (Hampton, VIC). Everywhere we see Liberal mindedness wanting to compromise clarity of language in order to “become more acceptable” to the Conciliar Church.

As a protégé of the saintly Archbishop Lefebvre himself, it is surely unnecessary for us to here rehearse the many arguments, advices and teachings of Holy Mother herself, as enunciated by many Holy Saints, Church Fathers, Doctors, Popes and others against the snares and enticements of the “Evil One”, whether under the guise of communism, freemasonry, modernism, ecumenism etc; particularly as on many occasions you have previously publically espoused those principles to the faithful.

Freemasonry is the Mother of Liberalism. Freemasonry and Communism are behind the New World Order, working towards the destruction of Christianity and the establishing of the religion of the Antichrist.

Leo XIII instructs the bishops: “…it is of the utmost importance to unmask and to drag into the light of day their secret machinations, so that Catholics, having their eyes opened to the real aims of these men, may feel their own courage redoubled, and may resolve openly and intrepidly to defend the Church, the Roman pontiff, and their own salvation.”

We are therefore at a loss to know why the leadership of the FSSPX now seems to have placed itself under the influence of the conspirators, against which the Archbishop joined the battle and fought against so mightily, and to which he said that the Church was infiltrated by this sect to the highest levels of the hierarchy even in Rome.

As a consequence we are duty bound to denounce and resist any doctrinal deviations leading down the false path which is apparently luring the Society into a spirit of sympathy towards “New Rome”; with the inevitable decrease in aversion to Vatican II; and increasing desire to give up the fight against the progressives to join the Conciliar Church, and thus falsely identify it as the Holy Catholic Church.

Meanwhile, members of the Society who publicly oppose the new orientation of the FSSPX (over which you preside) have been expelled for doing so. Laity who oppose the change of direction are being denied the Sacraments. Those who remain will ultimately have to make the choice between supporting the new direction, remaining silent or speaking out and being expelled.

It is our further understanding that your clergy are under specific instruction to remain silent about the problems within the Society and to not communicate the same to the faithful; or otherwise criticize their Superiors. Such actions only serve to confirm that those priests who do speak out are on the right track. When the world conspires to silence you, we know you are speaking the most important truth!

“But there is a time when silence becomes gravely imprudent, and even cooperates with sin and darkness. From the FSSPX pulpits, websites, magazines, articles etc. comes a shameful silence. A silence that uses the “liberty of prudence” as a cloak for malice, a silence equivalent to those passively standing by, while their mother is defiled and violently ravaged by the very ones vowed and ordained to defend Mother Church.” (Father Hewko’s Open Letter to the Superiors of the SSPX, 21st September 2013)

The FSSPX must return to the path originally set for it by its Founder, namely firm resistance to the apostates in Rome.

“Every Catholic can and must resist anyone in the Church who lays hands on his Faith, the Faith of the Eternal Church, upheld by his childhood catechism. The defence of his Faith is the first duty of every Christian, more especially of every priest and bishop. Wherever an order carries with it the danger of corrupting Faith and morals, “disobedience” becomes a grave duty”. (Archbishop Lefebvre, Letter to Friends & Benefactors, no. 9, 1975)

What happened to the primacy of the Faith? What happened to “no agreement until Rome converts to Tradition”? What happened to Archbishop Lefebvre’s proof for the moment of Rome’s conversion, namely the professing of all the papal teachings and condemnations from the Council of Trent down to Pius XII’s “Humani Generis”?

If we are wrong and have misunderstood the facts, it is because you and your collaborators regard the laity with contempt and not a little clericalism, and have signally failed to communicate the truth either to us or the world at large!

We are truly engaged in a final battle for souls between Our Lady and satan. May the Immaculate Heart of Mary soon Triumph!

We repeat the motto of Saint Pius X: “Omnia instaurare in Christo”; and implore you as the Superior General of the FSSPX to boldly do so without shame or fear.

Yours faithfully In Christ and His Most Holy Mother,

I would like to share with you this beautiful psalm which has guides me throughout each day. I think it is fitting to place it here:

Psalm 90

[1 He that dwelleth in the aid of the most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of Jacob. [2] He shall say to the Lord: Thou art my protector, and my refuge: my God, in him will I trust. [3] For he hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters: and from the sharp word. [4] He will overshadow thee with his shoulders: and under his wings thou shalt trust. [5] His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night.

[6] Of the arrow that flieth in the day, of the business that walketh about in the dark: of invasion, or of the noonday devil. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge. [10] There shall no evil come to thee: nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling.

[11] For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways. [12] In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13] Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon. [14] Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name. [15] He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him.

[16] I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation.

We, the undersigned Australian and Asian faithful, attached to Catholic Tradition, have signed this open letter of Appeal for the following purposes:

1) To call into question the actual or perceived change of direction of the FSSPX under your leadership;
2) To expose:
a) Any actual and/or perceived falsehoods or ambiguities circulating within the FSSPX and thus responsible for deceiving many of the faithful;
b) The increasing (actual or perceived) Liberalism within the FSSPX, which appear to be influenced by Masonic principles;

2012

www.sspx.org changes their website to a new “image” for the world
