Fr. Poisson history and deceit on The Catacombs

There is a clear case of deceit on the part of the catacombs in regards to the reason Fr. Poisson is no longer with the FSSP.

"Fr. Joseph Poisson was released from the FSSP for being too traditional." -- Admin, "senior member" of the catacombs, July 25, 2018.

"Father Poisson was suspended by the Fraternity of St. Peter several years ago for failure to report to an assignment."

    Fr. Joseph Poisson -- ex-FSSP

    born Jul 22, 1962
    ordained Oct 26, 1996
    (no bishop name identified)

I can find nothing about him between his ordination of 1996 and 2001, nor from Jan 2014 to 2018 when he showed up at OLMC, KY.

Conditionally ordained by Ambrose Moran, June/July 2018, now working under Moran at Fr. Pfeiffer's OLMC seminary.

"I know of no complaints against Fr. Poisson of that type [sexual or perverted]." -- Nancy LaRoza, Admin Asst. FSSP HQ

2005 sex abuse report listed these priests in the Philadelphia diocese:

Grand jury report on 300 pervert priests in six of eight Catholic dioceses in PA (Allentown, Scranton, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Greensburg, and Erie) will be out Aug 8 or Aug 14.

"It is, legal experts say, among the most expansive investigations into clergy abuse in the country, one that will provide a panoramic view into the church’s handling of the scandal, dating back decades, across most of the state."

note: Fr. Poisson held positions in both the Scranton and Harrisburg dioceses (see history below).

MaryM, this is good work. I was wondering if you or any of the other forum members had similar information on Priests who are with or are not with Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko.

Novus Ordo Catholics can easily obtain information about their Priests from their respective parishes or dioceses. But in the world of Traditional Catholicism, it is not so easy to find information.

For example, we don't know much about the Priests who are with Bishop Williamson, e.g. Fr. Raphael, Fr. Voigt, Fr. Chazal, Fr. Picot, Bishop Zendejas, etc. or even Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Hewko, etc. All we are told is that they are Society Priests - nothing to the level of detail that you have provided.

It seems very few in Tradition want to know the histories of their respective priests, or perhaps they all know about this since they were in it from its early days.

In your charity, if you or others can create threads devoted to the above or newer Priests, that would help newcomers to Tradition.

I do not think Fr. Raphael is with Bishop Williamson.

    He is not.

    Thank you.
    I wish I had time, but I just don't.
There are so many independent priests out there, it would take a LONG time to do.

Here is a good starting point for you:

    God bless.

I don't see Fr. Poisson's name listed on the priests list of sexual abuse.

True. For the record nobody is accusing him of anything. The only point being made is that:

Ruthy, this is good work. As Catholics, we should be very cautious before suggesting that any person or Priest is guilty by virtue of their mere presence in a certain city or country. By this reasoning, Priests or Saints who visit or visited prisons as well as unsavory places, automatically stand accused.

MaryM and Admin, how do we know that Fr. Raphael is with or not with Bishop Williamson. Is there a video link or a letter/email where he says this?

    This list is helpful.

The author of Catholic Candle says "This list primarily focuses on whether there is any doubt concerning the validity of
the ordination of a priest whom the faithful might encounter."

But the same list includes Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko, with a caution "We advise the faithful to stay far away from him". Does the author of Catholic Candle imply that Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko's ordinations are invalid? This would put so many priests of SSPX validity in question.

MaryM, thank you for the link. I understand that it takes a long time to find information. Is there a reason why Fr. Poisson is being investigated?

I do not think Father Poisson is being investigated. My understanding is that he lived in an area where many priests were named as being under investigation.

No David. The author of Catholic Candle recognises the validity of Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko's ordinations.

You are correct. I can attest to this personally.

    I don't either, thank God.

However, I do see an unusually large number of redacted names in the Scranton diocese section of the report.

Remember, the report was held in the grand jury for a week or two to give people listed on the report time to be able to write in and request their names redacted.

The report turns out to be not very useful, with half the names listed being deceased and so many redacted.

    More deceit from the catacombs...

    Maccabees is at it again.
Again, without repeating all the vile parts,
    Maccabees forgets two things:

    1. "BW must first convert or put aside his errors for service." The "errors" to which Macabees refers, I assume, is +Williamson's referral to the NO mass. Fr. Pfeiffer told me, "It's nothing new. He's [+Williamson's] been saying that for 20 years." Then why the insistence he now "put aside his error," when he has not changed one iota in over 20 years?

    2. "Bishop Williamson told the priests to start one [seminary] in 2013 and whom he said he would support (clearly stated in this thread above and elsewhere). I do not know how many times we have to repeat it." If, in 2013, +Williamson told them to start a seminary, yet his beliefs have not changed one iota, why the fuss now? Furthermore, while superior to the Kentucky fathers, +Williamson also told Fr. Pfeiffer to get rid of Mr. Hernandez (aka Pablo) and mind the seminary (stop travelling so much). They did not obey their lawful superior, yet again, so their lawful superior distanced himself from them. Selective obedience does not make objective portals.

Macabees also declares: "Then what is Ecclesia Militan's issue? An apparent stark agenda to defame priests and persons who are not aligned with his moral precipice." It seems to me the Kentucky fathers need no help in this regard. They defame themselves and scandalize anyone with whom they come in contact. (I refer to their association with and support of pervert priests (including allowing a pervert priest contact with the laity), laicized priests, non-practicing-Catholc "lay exorcist", and non-bishop, as well as their three mottos: "We are the last vestige of the Catholic Church," "If you're not with us, you're against us," and "The end justifies the means.")

"You will regret the day you had anything to do with Fr. Pfeiffer." -- Fr. Chazal

A first sermon of "fr."poisson in which he is pictured:

How can OLMC claim to be resistance if they accept a questionably legitimate priest? Clearly religious legitimacy and decency no longer matter to Fr. Pfeiffer and Fr. Hewko, as long as they get the help they need.
