Apostolic Mandate - Bishop Zendejas

    Apostolic Mandate read during the ceremony of Episcopal
    Consecration of Bishop Gerardo Zendejas on May 11th, 2017, in
    Vienna, Virginia, USA.

    We have a Mandate from the Roman Church, which in Her fidelity to Sacred Tradition, received from the Apostles the command to hand down faithfully that Sacred Tradition - namely the Deposit of the Faith - to all men, by reason of their duty to save their souls.

    Now on the one hand, from the Second Vatican Council until today, the authorities of the Roman Church are animated by a spirit of Modernism which profoundly undermines Sacred Tradition, to the point of perverting the very notion of Tradition: “They cannot bear sound doctrine, they have turned their cars from the Truth and followed fables”, as St Paul says in his second Epistle to Timothy (4:3,5). Of what use would it be to ask such authorities for a Mandate to consecrate a bishop who is going to be completely opposed to their most grave error?

    On the other hand, to obtain such bishops, the few Catholics who understand their importance might have hoped, even after Vatican II, that they could have come from the Society of St Pius X founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, like the four bishops consecrated by him with a previous Emergency Mandate in 1988. Unfortunately, when we observe that the authorities of the Society, by their constantly turning towards the Roman authorities given over to Vatican II, are following the same path of Liberalism and Modernism, that last hope appears to be vain.

    From where then could these faithful Catholics obtain the bishops essential to the survival of their true Faith? In a world day by day more opposed to Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church, the danger seems so great that, as long as Peter does not convert (St. Luke, 22:32), it is the Holy Church itself which asks us to come to the aid of the abandoned sheep, by providing for them the minimum number necessary of true shepherds (Jer. 3:15) for as long as such necessity presents itself.

    No presumption or assignment of the episcopal power of jurisdiction accompanies this transmission of the episcopal power of Orders. And so, as soon as God intervenes to save His Church, for which there remains no human hope of salvation, the effects of this transmission and of this Emergency Mandate will be put back immediately into the hands of any Pope who is once more unmistakably Catholic.

    Thanks to our constant vigilance these past years to receive from these bishops the important "Apostolic Mandate" to be visible and available for the public Catholic world, the difficult trend from waiting days to many weeks later is getting better.

    Looking at all three "Apostolic Mandates" (Bps. Faure, Aquinas, Zendejas), they share the same substance, except the only difference being to Bishop Zendejas' is the way they expressed the evolved nature of the sspx:
    • From the first Mandate relating to the sspx: "...constantly referring to the Roman authorities";
    • to the second Mandate, "...showed by their constant turning towards the Roman authorities that they were taking the same modernist road.";
    • and to the third Mandate, "...their constantly turning towards the Roman authorities given over to Vatican II, are following the same path of Liberalism and Modernism."
    Accurate for sure. But a question has to lend itself. What are these 'resistance" bishops turning to themselves when they constantly refer to the novus ordo as a legitimate form of "least contaminated mass to go to", support its false miracles, and claim that Tradition is only a part of the choice you can choose for your salvation? Is that not the "same modernist road" and "following the same path of liberalism and modernism" they placed as evolving for the new-sspx that they too have evolved with?

    This too is accurate; for sure. So what in view of the Traditional Catholic Church under the one God who is not ecumenical see in the hypocrisy of the 'resistance' bishops doing the same as the new-sspx only distinct by degree?

    So are their consecrations really truthful what they want others to believe and vain especially when BW says "they need to be silent" in the apostolate and "do nothing for souls"?

    Who is kidding who?

    Faith then cometh by hearing; and hearing by the word of Christ." - Romans 10:17

    How are people to be converted unless someone 'preaches' to them? If the bishops and priests are silent, aren't they acting in a way contrary to the mandate from Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, to 'go forth and teach all nations'?

    "How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they be sent, as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, of them that bring glad tidings of good things!

    But all do not obey the gospel. For Isaias saith: Lord, who hath believed our report? Faith then cometh by hearing; and hearing by the word of Christ". (Romans 10 : 14-17)

    Therein lies the crux of the false resistance problem.
    Well-summarized, Mr. Machabees.
